On January 3rd 2011, at 4:16 in the morning, I became an Aunt.
I don't have the skill with words to describe how it feels a new baby is pretty amazing and wonderful. Torray and Erin named their little girl Audrey Claire Wilson. ( her initials describe what you do when you see her "AW").

She was one week yesterday,and already she is changing it's amazing how fast that happens!
You can't help but thank God for this new little life ,and wonder how this little tiny person is going to grow up into a full grown woman.
It's amazing that everyone of us was this small at one point. Everyone starts out so full of potential and so totally dependent.So some of my prayers for my new little neice are:

1.That she will realize her need of God early and grow to be closer to him everyday
2. That she won't be spoiled by all her aunts, uncles and Grandparents
(she is in big danger of this!)
3.That she will be creative ,and maybe even funny
just like her parents.
4. That she will be healthy physically to the glory of God.
5. That she would have a true and honest love and compassion for people. And no fear of helping or talking to those in need.
6. That she and I can have fun together playing with dolls , having tea parties ,baking cookies ,pies and bread. I pray that she will know and spend time with her Aunts much more than I ever did with mine.
7. that she would not cave into the pressure of being a firstborn and having to perform or please everybody,but that she would be a good and humble leader of her future brothers and sisters and friends.

God is good ,and babies are proof. I'm trying to imagine holding Jesus as a baby........ it would seem so unreal ,so hard to wrap your mind around.... Fully God,but fully baby! Hm. I'll think of that next time I hold little Audrey.
